Joseph Eng Jr. is a Partner at King & Spalding’s Intellectual Property Group. Joe’s practice includes patent litigation, patent prosecution, and transactional matters. Joe has represented clients in patent infringement lawsuits in federal district courts across the United States as well as before the International Trade Commission, in many different technologies, including microelectronic devices, semiconductor processing, polymer coatings, optical fibers, medical devices, and respiratory protective devices, and artificial intelligence. His clients have included Fortune 100 companies, as well as small start-up companies.
Joe received Bachelor of Science degrees in both chemistry and physics from MIT and a PhD in chemistry from Columbia University. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Joe worked as a chemist in the petroleum and semiconductor industries. Joe has served as a Co-Chair on AABANY’s Mentorship Committee and has served on the board of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (NJIPLA). He is currently an AABANY Board Director and serves as a Co-Chair of the Student Outreach Committee.
Joe currently serves as Co-Chair of the AABANY Student Outreach Committee and Director on the AABANY Board.
