
Beatrice Leong is a solo practitioner who specializes in Matrimonial and Family Law, with her firm Law Office of Beatrice Leong. She has practiced exclusively in the field of divorce and family law since her admittance to the New York State bar.
She received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and her bachelor’s from SUNY Binghamton, where she double majored in English Literature & Rhetoric and Asian & Asian American Studies. At UConn Law, she was a volunteer at the local Family Court, helping low-income persons obtain pro se divorces, requests for child support and other family matters. She was also elected as President of two student clubs: the UConn Law chapter of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Arts, Entertainment and Sports Law Society.
Beatrice is a Board Member of AABANY, and has served in different roles for AABANY through the years (Membership Director, Vice President of Programs and Operations, and Development Director) and as a Co-Chair of the AABANY Pro Bono Clinic. She previously served as a Co-Chair for the GSPI Committee for three years. Beatrice is a three-time AABANY award winner—she was named the “Member of the Year” by AABANY for fiscal year 2019–2020 for her work as Membership Director. She also won the 2020–2021 AABANY “Program of the Year” for spearheading over fifty Weekly Online Member Mixers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, under Beatrice’s leadership, the Membership Committee won “Committee of the Year.” In 2023, Beatrice won the coveted National Asian Pacific American Bar Association “Best Under 40” Award, which is presented to fewer than 15 attorneys a year.
Beatrice frequently speaks and lectures on the topic of Divorce and Family Law to college and law students and presents CLEs to other lawyers. She has been featured on two national podcasts on the topic of divorce and prenuptial agreements. Beatrice was also selected as a Global Brand Ambassador for Dove Beauty and has been featured in Dove’s international print campaigns.
Beatrice currently serves as Co-Chair of the AABANY Pro Bono & Community Service Committee and Director on the AABANY Board.
Beatrice is a Speaker for the Rising Up to Serve: Leveraging Bar Associations for Community-Centered Lawyering program.
