Anna Mercado Clark, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP is a Partner and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Phillips Lytle LLP. She is Co-Leader of the firm’s Technology Industry Team, and serves as Leader of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Team and e-Discovery and Digital Forensics Team, as well as Co-Leader of the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Team. She also serves on the firm’s Governing Committee, its executive governing body. She is a Past President of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), was a co-founder and former Vice President of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALANY) and former board member of the National Filipino Lawyers Association (NFALA). She serves as a Special Advisor to the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession, has been on the Law360 Cybersecurity & Privacy Editorial Advisory Board for the past five years and is a member of the Empire State Cyber Fraud Task Force. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (an honor extended to less than 1% of lawyers in the United States), and a Ponemon Institute Distinguished Fellow. She is also ranked Tier 1 Cybersecurity in the Legal 500 US City Elite-New York and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law.
Among other honors, Anna has received the inaugural Anna Mercado Clark Pamana Award from the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York, the 50 Women to Watch Award from Corporate Counsel Business Journal, the Huntington Her Hero Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York City Bar Association and the Fordham University School of Law Moot Court Distinguished Alumni Award. She has been named to the Crain’s New York Business Notable Women in Law list, API Power Players list by PoliticsNY and amNY Metro, City & State’s Responsible 100, Above & Beyond Innovators, Asian Trailblazers and Power of Diversity: Asian 100, Lawyers of Color’s inaugural Nation’s Best List, Super Lawyers New York Metro, and is a recipient of the Hon. Denny Chin ‘78 Alumni Award for Excellence in the Legal Profession from the Fordham University School of Law.
