Young Mee Jun

Young Mee Jun is an Associate in HDRBB LLP’s Trusts & Estates group, where she advises clients on estate planning and related matters involving long-term care, Medicaid planning, special needs arrangements, and guardianship proceedings. Her practice also includes representation of clients in health plan appeals and a range of Medicaid-related disputes.

Young Mee brings a distinctive interdisciplinary perspective to her legal practice. Before joining HDRBB LLP, she was an Associate at Grimaldi Yeung Law Group, LLP in Brooklyn. Prior to entering the legal profession, she built a substantial career in social work, serving as Program Director and Social Services Director at extended care, nursing, and rehabilitation facilities. That experience gave her a direct and practical understanding of the needs of seniors, individuals requiring long-term care, and families navigating complex care, benefits, and planning decisions.

Her legal work is informed by this background in client service, advocacy, and senior care administration. She combines technical knowledge of trusts and estates, elder law, Medicaid, Medicare, and guardianship matters with a practical appreciation of the personal and institutional challenges that frequently arise for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families.

Mia is a Speaker for the Rising to the Challenge: A Balancing Act of Caregiving Leaders of the Sandwich Generation program.
